With a variety of drives across the country to choose from, many of them will involve car ferry crossings across fjords to save time aboard the Fjord1 ships. One can choose to drive from Oslo to various fjords or along scenic routes to visit famous towns like Aalesund and Bergen. I do however recommend trips to Trolltunga, Sognefjord, Geiranger,Voss, Flam, and Stavanger. Another very famous drive is to the Atlantic Road which will give you a chance to visit the famous curved bridge that often features on car commercials. The roads are narrow two lane roads but usually clear and are a peaceful and scenic drive. The best way to explore the Fjord area in Norway is to drive along the coast and visit as many scenic spots as you can with each offering a different view depending on the location, time and weather.
